About Burton Joyce Archers

Joyce Archers caters for longbow, recurve and compound archers of all levels of proficiency. The club was formed in August 1998, with the
co-operation of the Parish Council.
Shooting and storage facilities were arranged at The Poplars Sports Ground and the club was affiliated to the Grand National Archery Society (GNAS). Since then, the club has seen steady growth and we can now boast some 60 members aged from 5 up to 80.
Club shooting takes place throughout the year on Sunday
mornings until 1:00pm and Thursday afternoons from
1:00pm
’til 4:30pm. During the summer months we also shoot
Monday and Wednesday evenings from
5:30pm ’til dusk.
Indoor shooting is held on Friday evenings until Easter from 7:00pm ’til 9:00pm in the Sports Hall at Gedling Comprehensive School. This is located at Wollaton Avenue, Gedling.
